Review: Silver Is for Secrets (Blue is for Nightmares #3)

493123Silver Is for Secrets by Laurie Faria Stolarz

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

No!!!! So creative. Saw it coming. Great twists. Loved the plot. No!!!! *sniffles*

I spoiled it for myself a bit. I knew the outcome. I just didn't know how it was going to happen, so I was still safe. Still came as a shock to me. I feel for Stacy big time. Not once did I ever think of the possibility that things could have happened the way they did. It was obvious things were fishy. Jacob's distant self, keeping secrets from Stacy. Drea and Chad having a rough patch. Courtesy of Carla from 'Connecticut'. Or is she really who she say she is... *chills*

Drea really made me sympathize with her, and I found myself more often cheering for her and agreeing with her and Amber on their impression of Clara. I still wanted to punch Chad in the face. This time I just found PJ annoying and mostly wanted him to shutup and get straight to the point. Amber seemed superficial at times, epecially when mentioning some frat boys. I liked how Drea and Amber still supported Stacy throughout everything and didn't just ditch her when they were on vacation.

Loved the backdrop of Carla and the reasons as to why she was doing what she was doing. The connections made sense in the end, although too late. Stacy even found out near the very end when she fell asleep. I think its ironic how she finally told him how she really felt about him. Right before everything went down.

The informative sections in the end of Stacy's recorded conversation were really insightful. I was able to feel her hatred for Carla, numbness about Jacob, and the ever present sadness that things were connected with the past. Donovan. The past never really stays in the past. Back in Book Two, her mother reminded her that her grandmother used to say that. This felt really....prominent, or precedent for lack of a better word.

Overall, this story was well written, appreciate the author's hardwork, and glad snippets of Jacob's journal were included in the end. Better late than never.

Review: Red is for Remembrance (Blue is for Nightmares #4)

Crazy-good!. A LOT of crazy, and more CRAZY.

They think Stacy is going CRAZY.
They think that Porsha is CRAZY.
That commune is utterly CRAZY.

Only one of them is true. So if Stacy doesn't come to her senses and help Porsha with her nightmares, they won't be able to save that boy in the camp Porsha dreams about. And time is not something they really have a lot of.

I personally didn't think Shell would be who he ended up to really be. I knew that the boy Porsha was dreaming about wasn't Shell. And I didn't see at first how Jacob fit into all of this. I thought that Jacob was still out there in the sea, especially with all the water in Stacy's dreams. I was thinking the whole time that Stacy would have felt if Jacob really was gone. I guess I will never not to want to punch Chad in the face, its fate. *smirk* Amber just needs to admit her true feelings about PJ, BUT I am proud of her for calling the gang for an intervention.

I pity Lily. The rest of the commune too, but I just HATE Clay!.. Ugh.. He is the only one I want to punch in the face, and gut, and everywhere else more than Chad. So Chad is off the hook. Just a smidge though. A tiny bit. Very little. *snickers*

Overall, this was a nice quick read that I enjoyed very much. Loved the whole series and had so much fun with these characters.

Review: White Is for Magic (Blue Is for Nightmares #2)

Fan girl squeals throughout the whole time!. Tripped out A LOT since I read this at night. In the dark. *Chills* Really got my heart pumping, crazy-awesome!.

Really liked the story line. The past, present, and future clashes all together and come into question. What is happening? Why it's happening? What is real and what is not? Stacy cannot answer these questions without the help of her friends and mother, and add in a mysterious new face boy. Is he telling the truth? Can she trust him? Stacy already is feeling physically under the weather caused by night terrors, now she has to remember something from the past, because its effecting the present, and mystery boy dreams of her fututre. The cherry on top of it all is that there are crazy-obsessed weirdos trying to reenact what happened the year before.

I don't know how many times I had to read about Stacy's dreams with one eye open and laying in bed with the covers high above my chin. The details were so good. I was literally sucked in to their world and experiencing everything right along with Stacy and her friends. The clues made me think so many things about most of the characters and shed a light on them that will forever let me see them differently and not really as fond of them as before

I love when PJ talks, so goofy. Drea just made me dislike her even more. I just wanted to punch Chad in the face. I wanted to do even worse to Cory, Tobias and their gang, ugh!..

I wanted to run away with Jacob, the new mystery boy that kept scarying Stacy almost every time the met and giving her a heart attack. Yep, he his my favorite character for this book. Stacy's mom made me fustrated at first, but then she became tolerable after she began opening up to Stacy.

I still want to run away with Jacob. Body paint!. Haha

Overall, I had a blast gasping and laughing all with one eye open people (Ha! Beat that!). Not so much when I had to look over my shoulder when I got up to go to the restroom. The characters were lively and enjoyable, never a dull moment. Thanks to the author for their hardwork, keep writing!.
